Throw your rock candi out the window and make way for the missing link! Belgian Candi Syrup has more flavor than traditional candy rocks, and comes straight out of the breweries in Belgium. This Belgian Candi Syrup is actually made in Belgium, and is the same sugar that the breweries themselves are using to craft their smooth, rich, and malty beers that have been enchanting home brewers for years Many people have tried to replicate these intense flavors at home by making their own Belgian Candi Syrup, and while you can make your own invert sugar at home, it will not match the deep and intense flavors found in this Belgian Candi Syrup - those Belgians know what they are doing!
Belgian Candi Syrup boosts gravity and delivers authentic flavor in Dubbels, Quads, Abbeys, Grand Crus and Tripels that no other product can. They are also an excellent choice for your non-Belgian influenced beers.
CLEAR BELGIAN CANDI SYRUP - 1 LB Bottle
A Clear Invert Sugar. An excellent way to lighten and add alcohol to beer. Superior to standard table sugar because yeast will not produce invertase (cidery flavor) during fermentation
Traditional light colored candi syrup, cooked briefly to achieve high fermentability and to partially invert sugar. Will not add any color to wort. SRM 0 1.029 PPPG
Note: Ships in 1 lb. bottle
Exotic Beer Flavor in a bottle.
When Belgians make beer, they use sugar. This is common knowledge—however, the darker,
toffee like notes of Dubbels, or the soft, barely burnt flavors of dark strong ales are hard to achieve with just Candi Sugar. Beers like Maredsous and Rochefort use Candi Syrup. They
attain dark, complex flavors and high alcohol without being heavy or syrupy.
These syrups should NOT be limited to Belgian style beers. No British Style Old Ale, Stock Ale, or Barley wine would be complete without a heavy dose of sugar.
These wonderful syrups give the homebrewer a whole new dimension of flavors to work with that are simultaneously very versatile as well as being utterly unique
At SRM 0, adds no color to wort.
DARK BELGIAN CANDI SYRUP - 1 LB Bottle
A deep reddish brown color. This sugar tastes primarily of caramel with distinct secondary flavors of vanilla, plum & raisins. (think Chimay Premiere)
The Dark Belgian Candi Syrup is the original caramelized sugar of traditional Belgian ales. This syrup has a deep red/ black color. Its flavor is full of soft caramel, vanilla, plums and raisins. The syrup is highly fermentable.
- SRM: 80
- 1.032 PPG.
