TAP-A-DRAFT STARTER KIT
Kit Includes: 1 Valve, 3 Six-liter Bottles, 3 Caps, and (6) 16gram CO2 Cartridges. The best miniature kegging set up we have used. The Tap-A-Draft allows you to serve any carbonated beverage with all the benefits, and without all the expense of costly, bulky CO2 Tanks and Regulators.
TAP-A-DRAFT is perfect for most refrigerators, camping, parties, etc..
Each Tap-A-Draft bottle holds 6 liters (1.6 gallons) of beer and fits perfectly on a standard refrigerator shelf. Three 6-liter bottles hold 4.75 gallons of beer. The dispensing tapping unit holds one 16 gram CO2 cartridges and features a preset regulator that dispenses the CO2 from the cartridges into the bottle at a steady rate. The bottles can be tapped for up to 6-8 weeks. These bottles are primed using 3 ounces of priming sugar per 5 gallons. After aging (2-4 weeks) remove cap, tap, and dispense. One 16 gram CO2 cartridges will dispense the entire 6 liters. Tap-A-Draft bottles are reusable for at least 6 batches. This includes the Tap, six 16-gram CO2 cartridges, and three 6-liter bottles. Everything you need to bottle and dispense 4.75 gallons of beer.
Dimensions of bottles:
Diameter: 7"
Length of bottle: 12";
Length of bottle with dispense tap: 16"
The Tap-A-Draft is an economical and space saving portable beer dispensing system. Three (BPA free) 6 liter PET bottles hold 4.75 gallons of beer, virtually all of a 5 gallon batch.
The Tap-A-Draft features a 6 liter BPA-free PET bottle, which screws onto the tapping unit for dispensing. The tapping unit holds one 16 gram C02 cartridge, and features a preset regulator that dispenses the C02 from the cartridge into the bottle at an even rate, so you can leave the unit for a month or two, and still dispense all the beer with the 16 gram cartridges .
When brewing beer for the Tap-A-Draft, prime the beer first by using 3 ounces of corn sugar per 5 gallon batch (about half a cup). Then fill the bottles and seal with the included 38mm screw caps. Let age like bottled beer until they are carbonated (this system will not artficially carbonate beer by C02 injection). To serve, remove the cap and screw on the Tap-A-Draft tapping head, insert the 16 gram C02 cartridge into the unit, chill and dispense.
One 16 gram C02 cartridges will dispense the entire 6 liters of beer, and the built in regulator will keep pressure steady for up to two months. The 6 liter pet bottles are usable until they become damaged, usually for at least 6 batches. The pet bottles will keep beer fresh for 4 months. For longer beer storage, look to our Mini Keg Systems or full-sized Beverage systems. You will need 3 cartridges to dispense three bottles (4.75 gallons). A portable space-saving draft system at a great price
Includes the Tap-A-Draft tap, drip tray, Six 16 gram C02 cartridges, and 3 six liter pet plastic bottles (with 3 caps). Everything you need to bottle and dispense 4.75 gallons of beer. The assembled unit with bottle and tap is 15" long, and 7.5" in diameter. The sealed bottles themselves are 12.5" long, and 7.5" in diameter.
To serve, simply open the valve by pulling forward until beer is flowing. It is best to open the valve all the way to avoid foaming. The valve has two regulators built in that hold a constant 15 psi, to maintain a constant carbonation level. There is a built in check valve to stop the gas from going from the bottle into the valve. Also, if the pressure in the bottle ever exceeds 60psi (usually from excessive warming, or wild fermentation) the valve will open and relieve the pressure in the bottle. The valve itself is covered by a one year warranty against any manufacturing defects.
Carbonating: To do an average 5-gallon batch of beer or soda, you will need 3 six-liter bottles. The bottles can be carbonated one of two ways.
Natural This is the easiest and most popular way to carbonate beer in the Tap-A-Draft. Simply prime the beer as you would for standard bottling. You can use less sugar than normally would when using bottles; 1/2 cup (3oz) per 5 gallons should be sufficient. Let sit with cap on for 14 days and then attach valve, refrigerate and serve. When naturally carbonating with corn sugar. Store at 65-75F for 1-2 weeks. Make sure you STORE the BOTTLES UPRIGHT.
Forced You can force carbonate the beer or soda by using the 16-gram CO2 cartridges. Simply fill the bottle, attach the valve, insert the CO2 cartridges, and place into the refrigerator. Since the valve holds 15psi, the liquid should carbonate in about 7 days. Most of the CO2 will be absorbed into the liquid, so replace the cartridges when the beer flow slows. Usually it just requires 2 cartridges (1 to carbonate, 1 to serve) when force carbonating. When using this method it is very important the beer starts and stays cold to ensure Co2 is absorbed into the liquid.
Use for serving carbonated water and for making fruit flavored soda:
You can use Tap-A-Draft as a way to dispense carbonated water. We recommend using filtered water free of chlorine from a Brita or store bought distilled water. You can also use our fruit flavorings we offer to make sparkling fruit soda. Just add 2-3 cap fulls to your glass of carbonated water or go by taste. A great treat for your wife or kids.

The key to brewing good beer at home is keeping everything clean and organized. We use the Mark II Keg Washer to sanitize anything that touches the beer; brew pails, carboys, Corny kegs, hoses, strainers, thermometers, etc. At the end of the process, we use the Mark II Keg Washer to clean all the difficult-to-clean equipment. For anything that doesn’t fit in the automatic dishwasher, we use the Mark II Keg Washer.
The Mark II Keg Washer consists of a 1 gallon basin with a stand mounted in the center that can hold either a carboy or a Cornelius Keg. Positioned below the center of the stand is jet nozzle powered by a submersible 500 gallon per hour pump. The basin is also designed to accommodate brew pails and buckets. The basin is molded as one piece of high density polyethylene for strength and durability. The material of the basin is highly chemically resistant and essentially stain-proof.
The Mark II Keg Washer includes 2 tube barbs used for cleaning hoses. There is also a T adapter supplied that fits between the output of the pump and the pipe for the jet nozzle. The T adapter can be used for connecting a ¼” hose to a quick-connect that can be attached to the output of a Cornelius Keg. This way, the tube inside the keg can be cleaned without disassembling it.
Please note, the quick connectors and tubing are not supplied as part of the unit and must be obtained separately
The basin is large enough to store stuff used in brewing beer such as bubblers, thermometers, etc. The water in the basin can be sanitized with any of the available sanitizing solutions available at any home brew store. When it’s time to clean up, simply fill the basin with PBW and clean any vessels and hoses that were used. It should become a habit of cleaning brewing equipment as you go. If you set equipment aside and let it dry and crust over, it becomes a discouragement to starting the next batch.
