Thomas Fawcett Maris Otter, 55lb bag
Marris Otter is a 2 Row barley cultivar used by numerous maltsters to make a Pale Ale Malt. Generally low in protein, moderate diastatic power, higher in extract and light coloured.
This variety has long been a favorite of English brewers for its rich flavor and very forgiving brewing performance. Since this malt is fully modified, a protein rest is not necessary. This is a very popular base malt used in pale ales, bitters, porters, IPAs, stouts, barleywines and Scottish ales. Excellent yields and efficient run off make it the malt of choice for producing English style beers.
This is a Premium varietal 2-row winter barley, great for infusion mashing. A perfect
base malt for pale ales, bitters, or any other UK inspired brews. Use up to 100%
